Everfi
In my personal finance class, we had to go through nine modules of Everfi. Everfi taught you about banking and taxes and savings and all that good stuff. I passed every module and finished almost two months before it was due.
Stock Project
One of my work samples is a project we are doing in my Business Law class. First, we had to pick a stock name (I picked YUM! for Taco Bell because that is where I work) and every Friday we get a certain amount of money for "pay day" and us students check if the price of stock has gone up or down since last week and we put the amount in the "Price of Stock" column. It is actually exciting to see how "my" stock is doing because it reflects on my personal job.
Newsletter
|
Also in our Business Law class, we had to do a newsletter on ethical and moral reasoning from chapter 2 of our Law for Business book from class. Each student had to find three different articles that either had ethical or moral reasoning. That is what all of chapter 2 was based on so we had to write a summary about each article and describe how or why it had either ethical or moral reasoning.
Brochure
Also in my Business Law class, we had to make a brochure about chapter 4. Chapter 4 was about enforcing the law and courts. We had to pick six different topics to write about. It was mainly just all short and sweet information.
Tax Return
In personal finance, we have to fill out tax return forms-and it's not easy. I was very confused but it is always good to know how to do these kind of things. With a little help from the wonderful Mr. Daly, I was able to finish and do well on this tax return form.
Pet Supplies Plus
I have a career field class, which means I get a school credit for working somewhere where I might want to work or be close to working one day. Well, I love working with animals so this is great. For this class, I had to write a thank you letter to my employer which wasn't hard to do considering how great my boss is. My manager loved it.
